City breaks
A few days somewhere new can feel like a proper holiday. Great food, beautiful buildings, a museum or two and plenty of wandering. I’ll help you choose a city that suits you and a hotel in the right spot, so you spend your time exploring rather than travelling across town.
What’s usually included
Every trip is different, so this is a general guide. I’ll always confirm exactly what’s included in your booking before you pay.
Often included
- return flights, or rail travel where it makes sense
- your hotel for the nights you’ve chosen, often room only or with breakfast
- transfers on some packages
Often extra
- city or tourist taxes, often paid at the hotel
- airport transfers, if they’re not part of the package
- attraction tickets, tours and museum passes
- meals and drinks
Good to know
- Location is everything. A well-placed hotel can save you hours, and I’ll look at where things are before suggesting one.
- Popular sights can sell out. Some galleries, landmarks and tours are best booked ahead, especially at busy times.
- Short trips go quickly. Flight times matter on a two or three-night break, so I’ll keep an eye on them.
Who it suits
Couples, friends, solo travellers and anyone wanting a short break packed with culture and good food.
